Asia Pacific Conference on Mosquito and Vector Control 2026
Aug 12, 2026From 5–7 August 2026, our team had the privilege of participating in the Asia Pacific Conference on Mosquito and Vector Control 2026, held in Pattaya, Thailand.
The conference provided a valuable platform for us to connect with professionals, researchers, public health experts, vector control specialists, and industry representatives from across the Asia-Pacific region. It was an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge and gain a deeper understanding of the latest developments, technologies, and approaches in mosquito and vector control.
Throughout the conference, we had the opportunity to learn about emerging vector control technologies, innovative mosquito management strategies, research findings, and practical approaches to addressing mosquito-borne diseases. The discussions and presentations also provided valuable insights into the challenges faced by different countries and the importance of integrated and sustainable vector management.
For our team, the conference was more than just an opportunity to learn. It was also a platform to share our own experience and innovations in mosquito control, particularly our efforts in developing and implementing practical mosquito control solutions in Malaysia.
Meeting experts and professionals from different backgrounds allowed us to exchange ideas, explore potential collaborations, and build new connections within the regional vector control community. These interactions have further strengthened our commitment to continuously improve our technologies and contribute to more effective mosquito and vector control solutions.
We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of this important regional conference. The knowledge, experience, and connections gained throughout the event will inspire us to continue our efforts in developing innovative, practical, and sustainable solutions for mosquito control.
We look forward to bringing the knowledge and inspiration gained from Pattaya back to Malaysia and continuing our journey towards better mosquito and vector control.

Sharing sessions with TRAXX FM

On 9 July 2026, I had the privilege of being invited for a live interview on Malaysia's national English radio station, TRAXX FM, with DJ Otto. The interview was part of the program ''Bringing Local Innovators to the Spotlight.
This sharing session was specially arranged by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), inviting MySTI-certified local R&D companies to showcase their innovations to the public. After being inducted into MOSTI's Innovators Hall of Fame, our Aedestech Mosquito Home System once again received recognition at the national level. It is truly a meaningful achievement for me and my team.

Program Kesihatan Sekolah Angkat by UPM was implemented at SKJC Kalumpang, Kerling, and Rasa, encompassing three educational modules: the self-care module, the dengue module, and the nutrition module. Through the self-care module, students were introduced to ways of maintaining personal hygiene to avoid issues such as lice infestations and parasitic worms. Meanwhile, the dengue module educated students on identifying the characteristics of Aedes mosquitoes, their breeding sites, and the diseases they transmit. The nutrition module taught students the importance of balanced nutrition, as recommended by the food pyramid, to prevent health problems.
This program was well-received by the school, providing valuable knowledge to the students. With the success of this initiative, it is hoped that the program can be continued in the future.

On October 28, a discussion was held regarding the MOSTI project for Aedes mosquito control using the Aedestech Mosquito Home System, involving One Team Networks, the Muallim District Health Office, Tanjung Malim District Council, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), and Komuniti Rukun Tetangga (KRT) Bandar Behrang 2020
This MOSTI Aedes mosquito control project will cover seven (7) zones in the Bandar Behrang 2020, including 1,291 houses and four (4) schools.

This very first edition of Malaysia Innovates report features twenty four(24) innovation projects developed by local innovators from diverse backgrounds and fields.
The Research Management Unit, Manufacturing Industry, Science and Technology Division (RMU, BIPST), Economic Planning Unit, Prime Minister's Department (EPU, JPM) together with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and seven selected ministries are organizing the Malaysia Innovates Summit 2022 and launching the Malaysia Innovates Report 2022.
Aedestech Mosquito Home System been selected and featured in a publication to be distributed to stakeholders like government bodies and potential funders as well in hopes that these projects may be funded in the future.

Aug 5, 2022The MoA Exchange Ceremony between UMT and One Team Networks Sdn Bhd in conjunction with the Summit of the Malaysian Commercialization Year 2020, MOSTI which took place at MITEC Kuala Lumpur.
Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) received a royalty payment from a company it signed an agreement with for commercialisation of a product developed by one of its researchers.

INTRODUCTION
This competition is under the auspices of YB Rodziah Ismail, Exco for Entrepreneurial Development, Housing and Urban Well-Being, Selangor. The organization of this short video competition is a collaboration between two public universities; Universiti Putra Malaysia and Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, together with other industry partners from One Team Networks Sdn. Bhd., DrMos HealthCare Sdn. Bhd. and Vircast Medic Sdn. Bhd. The programme is also attended by several other strategic partners such as the Malaysian Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) and WATSONS Malaysia.
OBJECTIVE
The program aims to encourage community engagement on COVID-19 awareness and its impact on urban well-being.

The co-organiser from United Kingdom (Newton-Ungku Omar Fund & British Council) and Malaysia (Agensi Innovasi Malaysia, Platcom Ventures & SME Corp Malaysia) are pleased to announce ONE TEAM NETWORKS SDN BHD as the winner of the Dengue Tech Challenge 2016. Our patented novel product – Mosquito Home (an ideal solution for Aedes Mosquito Control) awarded as the only winner under the group for Prevention – Vector Control.
The award winners were announced at an awards ceremony in Petrosains, KLCC, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 27 June 2016. His Royal Highness Prince Andrew, The Duke of York, KG. presented prizes to proud winners of the Dengue Tech Challenge 2016.

This initiative aims to support proposals for collaborative projects that bring together experts from Malaysia and United Kingdom to focus on commercialization of dengue-related research and products in Malaysia.
This collaboration will target a more proactive approach, moving from response-driven activities to long-term prevention and preparedness-driven activities, providing a comprehensive solution to dengue outbreaks in Malaysia.
Challenge winners serve as solution provider to reduce the burden of Dengue cases in Malaysia. They presented a new method or solution to combat Dengue and remain committed to Dengue Tech Challenge.
